Berkeley College paralegal training is designed to prepare students with the technical skills, general knowledge, and communication abilities necessary to launch successful paralegal careers.
With proper paralegal training and under the supervision of a lawyer, a paralegal may act as a legal assistant to:
- Analyze legal issues
- Investigate and evaluate facts
- Prepare pleadings, contracts, forms, legal memoranda, and other documents

- Interview clients
- Assist in case management, and
- Perform other duties to assist the lawyer in the delivery of legal services to clients.
Berkeley’s paralegal training is designed to satisfy the legal community’s need for legal assistants who can work independently under the supervision of an attorney; and to satisfy society’s need for more comprehensive, efficient, and available legal services.
